ALIM Winter 2020 Program

February 14, 2020

The 2020 ALIM Winter Program will be held in Memphis, TN this year on February 14th - 16th.
Notable scholars including Ustadh Ubaydullah Evans, Imam Muneer Fareed, Dr. Sherman Jackson, and Ustadha Zaynab Ansari will be in attendance.

Registration is $30/person.

Girls Who Gather Empowerment Series

Built on the framework of Islam, Girls Who Gather empowers girls, 13-18 years old, to grow confidence, self awareness, and strength through monthly sessions and community based activities. As girls experience exposure to the Memphis community, each will obtain lifelong knowledge on all things GIRL.

Tree Planting at Shelby Farms

Conversations with Mentors

Conversations with Mentors is an open discussion format that allows discussion on daily struggles and issues that young American Muslims encounter. Discussion will be moderated by Br. Sameer Mansour and young professionals in the community.

Our monthly Conversations with Mentors class for youth and young professionals will be held every last Friday at 8PM.

 

Dinner will be provided.

Witness Dawah Training Workshop

This one day training course will equip attendees with the tools to compassionately convey the call to Islam. It is designed for individuals, Masjid committees, and community organizations and will present practical tools used to welcome and empower new Muslims to Islam.

MIST Practice

MIST Season is upon us and we will be holding our MIST Practices at the Memphis Islamic Center every Sunday at 5PM. 

The Muslim Inter-Scholastic Tournament (MIST)™ is a fun, educational, interactive program of competitions and workshops geared towards bringing high school students together from around the nation to develop leadership, communication, and other creative skills, all while gaining a deeper understanding of Islam and Muslims.

The tournaments lasts two-three days, ending with the Awards Ceremony on the final night.  The Muslim Inter-Scholastic Tournament (MIST)™ currently features 31 different competitions!
